Chamomile Hydroglycolic Extract

Matricaria recutita L., commonly known as German chamomile or Chamomile, is an annual herb in the daisy family Asteraceae, native to Europe and Americas. Chamomile has long narrow leaves and fragrant flowers. Soroksari 40, one of the most important cultivars of chamomile with a desirable amount of bioactive ingredients, is the variety cultivated in Zardband farms. The most important characteristic of chamomile is its yellow tubular florets in the center and its main phytochemical compounds are Chamazulene, α-bisabolol, terpenoids, flavonoids (apigenin, apigenin 7-glucoside, and luteolin), coumarins, vitamin C, mucilaginous substances, and pectin. These constituents have wide applicability in food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.
